About the Project

The North Springfield Sustainable Energy Project is a 25-to-35 megawatt woodchip burning electric power plant to be located at the 36 Precision Drive Industrial Park in North Springfield, Vermont.

The plant’s heat byproduct will also be utilized by way of a “thermal loop” to heat existing and future business to be located in the industrial park. The project is expected to bring jobs and revenues to the region during both construction and long term operation of the plant.

NSSEP has filed for a Certificate of Public Good from the Public Service Board of Vermont.
